Pseudomucinous cystadenocarcinoma of Peritoneal Origin

Abstract
|
|
|
One case of Pseudomucinous cystadenocarcinoma is reported. 28 year old, moderately nourished
male, appears acutely ill, entered to Chunnam University Hospital because of severe lower abdomi
nal pain, fever elevation and vomiting for 3 days.
Chest X-ray showed normal and simple abdomen showed diffuse haziness without calcification.
An emergency laparotomy under the diagnosis of panperitonitis performed. Sucking yellowish-gelat
inous fluid about 1.5 loter, large grape like gelatinous masses, consist of variable size of ovoid cystic
masses at ileocecal region was noted.
The masses spread out the entire peritoneal cavity and adhered to mesentery and intestinal wall.
Microscopic examination revealed pseudomucinous cyst adenocarcinoma.
